My family history is complicated. If you are not already familiar with the facts of the case, it is not likely that I would be able to explain it to you, even if I were so inclined.
Unlike the many so-called heroes who only give lip service to their ideals, I have put mine in action as acting president of the central European nation of Rumekistan, and founder of the Utopian South Pacific community of Providence. Visitors to either location are more then welcome, provided that they go through proper channels, and leave their agendas at the door.
Also, I am not on speaking terms with Wade Wilson, the mercenary known as Deadpool. If he tells you that I am, he's lying. Actually, if he tells you anything, he's probably lying. Unless it is about the actress Beatrice Arthur, the film careers of the Olsen twins, or his fondness for chimichangas. His knowledge on these particular subjects is inexhaustible, and he stands to gain no advantage from talking about them.

theatrical_muse community. Cable is a Marvel comics character who has featured in various titles including, currently X-men and Cable & Deadpool. This journal will primarily be based on C&D canon. I am not affiliated with Marvel comics in any way, and I am making no profit from this journal. Even if I were, Cable would probably insist on donating it to world peace, or something. He can be pushy like that.
Canon note: Currently, I'm playing based on canon prior to X-men 198, and to Cable & Deadpool 40. That is, Providence is still in one piece, and Cable is in good shape. He is, however, speaking to Deadpool again.
Also, Cable doesn't like to talk about his family history -- for their sake as well as his own -- but if you're curious this web-comic about Cable and Jean Grey actually gives the most concise retelling that I've come across.
